Title: workshop in the back yard
Post by: Lesmond on February 26, 2017, 10:53:36 AM
I've been building me a workshop in the back yard, Lisa got it for me :smitten: Cost her £300 ($375)

Built it on my own, its 10ft x 6ft the hardest part was putting the roof on!

They come premade, flat packed.

Here are a few pictures

Looks great, Bro! I'd suggest some varnish to help protect, it you don't have any on it already.

Thanks guys

My next job is to build a workbench, I have already got the wood to build it, using reclaimed wood.

Lisa has got me a new woodwork vice to fit on it... Draper, Quick Release Woodworking Bench Vice 10in jaw, opens to 18ins

You may already know about this YouTube channel that Paul Sellers has, but just in-case that you don't, his link is below. He has lots of great woodworking videos, including a whole series on building a workbench. (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLD39949332C7FB168)

Good looking bench-top table saw Les.

It's a slippery slope Les! No matter how many tools you have, you'll always need more!  laughing7

I didnt mention, I did have all these tools before, maybe more, but my work shop was broken into and all my tools were stolen.

I have the money from my hosting company now to replace them.. so why not.... and I can make lots of new saw dust lol

That table saw looks really nice!!! If you keep buying tools you'll need to move into it cause you'll spend all of your money. LOL

Maybe the last one me thinks lol

That's not the way this woodworking hobby works Les... first you build the shed, then you fill it up with all those nice tools, and then you build a bigger shed and start all over again.  laughing7
