Lots of evenings Kay keeps it low key with something simple, like grilled cheese and soup for example.

But today, New Years Day, she gets too rocking in the kitchen!!!

Her greens are always great because she adds at least one turnip and a ham bone to the mix.  laughing7
And her black-eyed peas are soaked for 12 or more hours and then she adds lots of goodies like bits of ham.
She cooks the ribs for about an hour after soaking them in vinegar to reduce the fat.

Good stuff.

Just ran across this topic from three years ago, thought that it might be fun to revive it. laughing7

We're not having ribs this year... Kay is making up some of her World Famous Hamburgers!

Served with lean ground beef with Sauteed onions mixed into the patties, cooked slowly to a medium well and then served with Swiss cheese, Sauteed mushrooms, sliced tomatoes and sliced Avocado.
