Just uploaded the latest TP for testing.  http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?topic=35478.0

If you already have 1.110 installed you probably don't need to replace it, just some version number changes etc. Hopefully we'll get thing released.

- Note that it requires a uninstall of any previous version, so be sure to make a backup of your current TP files.

Just installed the latest (07/20/2015) version of TinyPortal (1.110).
The version that we had installed was numbered the same, but the version that Mick uploaded yesterday to the TP site may actually contain code fixes that were not available when I installed that previous version.
... the version posted too the github is named TinyPortal-master.zip and I changed the name to TinyPortal-1.110.zip, thus the uncertainty over it being the most up to date code.

When dealing with the github it is some times easy to get the numbers of the releases mixed up, so that's why I decided to make sure that we had the correct version by installing this one.

Ken, the one I posted over there is the latest from github and all ready to go.  Yes it does have the same version number, I guess I could have added a revision number to it, but to be honest I did say to uninstall any previous version before installing this one.  The only fixes to the last one are version numbers when installing and uninstalling.  If any more fixes are added then it'll get a rev number. ;)

Things have gone very quiet over there again for some reason.  :huh1:

Yes, they have.
Maybe just a normal ebb and flow effect that we often see in life and on web sites... trouble is,for us on the TP site, there are very few members who are actively posting so if one or two slow down for a while it's quite noticeable.

Ken, just to clear up a bit of confusion, what zip did you actually install, the one I posted or the one from github?

If github, was it the Tinportal master zip, or the release zip?

Ken that was just me looking to see where those errors were generated.

bloc has hopefully answered why the forum name error is coming up.  A missing global in that language file.  Not sure about the other errors, perhaps related.  Try the suggested fix first  ;)

Some times this code stuff can be really challenging, so it helps to have friends and associates who know how to actually write code.
Case in point... Bloc posted this:
Quote
Ah, that would suggest the language files for pmxblog is missing a global.

If you haven't already, theres no need to un-install it then. But you could try adding this line in PmxBlog.english.php, right before any $txt lines:

global $context;

I would suspect the errors go away then.

And then, once I did that edit, the error was solved.

Other times it can be rewarding if you can figure something out on your own. The PmxBlog was still throwing one error for a missing attachment, so I downloaded this image from the 'net...

Then renamed it to the correct attachment name, uploaded it to the Attachments folder and 'voila, we have a solution to the error!  laughing7
