When I was here yesterday the screen was looking like it lost all of the style sheets and had a tp load error on the bottom of the screen. I assumed that Ken was screwing around with the site and left.

SMF Arcade might be giving you problems if there is still old E-arcade code left behind or you have chmod/chown issues.

Don't think any of the old E-Arcade code is still there because all of the SMF files were replaced and the arcade files were deleted and the arcade db tables were dropped before installing SMF Arcade.

But the arcade code may not be the issue... before we were 'ourfamilyforum.org' the site url was 'mykimbrell.com' and that url is showing up in some of the errors associated with the game install failures.
Like this one:

Directory /var/www/vhosts/mykimbrell.com/httpdocs/FamilyForum/Games/ is not writable and chmod didn't succeed. Please make it writable manually.

Don't know why that is happening all of a sudden, but it must be related to the 'white out' from yesterday because it has never happened before... we do have a redirect for the old name in place but I don't know how that impacts the situation, as mentioned this has never happened before.

Got a ticket in to my host to see what he is able to tell me about those url errors.

The error you are showing me does mean a chmod issue which probably means there is a chown issue. If you can't change the /Games (or any directory) file permissions then your host has to do it for you. I assume you are on a server that uses 777 rather than 755. This usually happens on those servers. However, they usually do not have chmod issues, only chown issues.

Servers with 755 will usually have chmod and not chown issues.

The actual problem may not be the chmod settings because those can be changed. My host had sent me a note saying that the settings should be 755, not 777 and that's different from before because I've always used 777 up until yesterday.

To me the problem seems to be the url thing, because the mykimbrell.com should not be in the path that the game install tries to find/follow, what it should say is:
"/var/www/vhosts/ourfamilyforum.org/httpdocs/FamilyForum/Games/"
... and not:
"/var/www/vhosts/mykimbrell.com/httpdocs/FamilyForum/Games/"

As for the chown issue, that has been a problem several times in the past, but that part seems to be OK this time.
