It may be released as early as today...if we all agree on it. ;)

I like it. Dark themes are not my first choice, but I like the crisp, clean lines.

Keith, that's not a bad plan actually, it would be lots easier to do then would CD/DVD's that's for sure.  :bigthumb:

That had been forced on me a year or so back when the MB died in one of my PC's so the HDD from it was placed in an external USB case and attached to another PC. It still is and it still has the OS on it, plus all of my data of course.

I thought about doing that but then I'd have to buy a new usb stick just to hold all of it.

Not sure if Keith was talking about a USB thumb drive, but I took it to be an external hard drive enclosure attached to the desktop by a USB cable... that's what I have on mine now. (250GB drive)

I have 2 external usb drives, a 180gb and a 300gb, plus 1 extra 1tb internal drive, main drive is 750gb, so plenty of space to save stuff, the 300gb has 122gb of music, 30,200 tracks, plus 64.0 GB/25.000  Karaoke tracks

Ken has it ...Buy a new hard Drive in April, or when ever money is available... HDD's are cheap ...Take last years drive; do a disc copy, with whatever your favorite method is ( I use Maxtor drives and use "Maxblaster") after the Copy is complete...put the new HDD in as your primary ...and you're good to go for another year and a HDD crash within the first year is VERY rare Actually you don't even need an external if you have an open bay.....the variations are many..but you get the idea

Sorry, I missed the external part. LOL

I like Maxtor's also and will usually buy them. I've never bought an external but am either going to build a new PC or seriously upgrade this one in a few months. My case has 4 slots for cd/dvd drives, 2 for floppies, and 3 for hd's. I usually won't buy a case with anything less. Then I can add card reader's, extra drives, etc. later.

I usually do it as you described but with internal drives. I'll probably end up buying a new internal hd to back up both of my drives, reformat, swap them and then restore the backups.
