Another Software Update Coming to the FF.
« on: March 31, 2010, 06:01:07 PM »
We'll be doing another software update within the next few days here on the FamilyForum.

We'll be upgrading from SMF 2.0 RC2 to SMF 2.0 RC3 and we'll also be updating the TinyPortal package as well.
I tried today to update the SMF Gallery package but something went wrong with that, causing us to lose the gallery temporarily... it's still there, we just can't access it for now. That issue should be resolved when all of the other updates go through.

The site will only be offline for a short time when we do the updates and that may take place as soon as tomorrow, or maybe Friday, it all depends on what happens with the TinyPortal package... it's supposed to be released to the public tomorrow on April Fools Day, but Bloc just gave us a new 'Alpha' release today and several bugs have been found, so we'll have to wait to see if he delays the public release because of these new bugs.

But in any case we will likely be back up to speed by Saturday.  riteon

We've reset the forum default theme to imPulse2 design by BlocWeb and it will likely remain so for a while as we wait for themes to be updated to work with our current software versions.

There have been some reports of possible hacking of shout-boxes in TP Beta 5 by web-bots, so for now our shout-box is turned off until I can check into this issue.

Just installed an update that should fix the shoutbox issues... but now the calendar block code is broken.  :yikes:

FootNotes test: [nb]
test
[/nb]

The text of the foot note is centered...  :thud: gotta fix that.

EDIT: It appears that the offset text only happens in a custom theme, like Outline, so I'll need to edit the theme. [nb]need to edit the style.css file[/nb]

2nd EDIT: adding a space between the footnotes.[nb]space...[/nb] space not working?

Someone had mentioned that you could use the bbc code for a break and get a line break between the notes, but so far I'm not getting that right.  :undecided2:
