That sounds kind of rough for Android users. Most likely there will be a fix soon though.

But this is how you can protect yourself against it until they issue fixes for it. I have noticed a lot of updates lately for my Android/Google apps. And my avast! has been aggressively scanning all of my apps. They did announce that they were rolling out fixes for the various devices so I assume that those upgrades and the aggressive scanning are part of the process.
