Smart ways to tackle the yeast shortage :

Me ordered a 1lb. block of SAF yeast last week. ;)

Kay might find that article interesting, I'll point it out to her.

In past times Kay has baked lots of bread, but these days she has no incentive to do any baking because my chemo meds have so altered my taste buds that most of the time I can not stand the taste of bread. It's an issue with lots of other foods as well, sometimes changing from day to day... it can get rather frustrating actually. :-\

That sucks!

Here's an interesting (and somewhat disgusting) factoid about my meds... for several years now my sense of smell has been really poor and after starting the chemo meds it has only gotten worse. But, for the last few days, I've noticed that it seems to be getting better!
So, this morning I wake up at about 3:00 AM, walk into the kitchen and I'm hit with the odor of ripe bananas and a smelly trash receptacle (that has a lid). Kinda made me wish for the good ole days when I could not smell a damm thing. :hah!:
... almost.
