Top 50 Passwords

The top 50 passwords you should never use!
... this from 'Naked Security', read the full article on their page.

Are you one of the many people who is using a dangerously easy-to-guess password?

Maybe now's the time to fix that before it's too late.

Twitter, LinkedIn, World of Warcraft and Yahoo are amongst the popular websites which are advising users to change their passwords in light of the recent security breach at the Gawker Media family of sites.

The issue is that many people (33% in our research) use the same password on every single website. That means that if your password gets stolen in one place (like Gawker's Gizmodo or Lifehacker websites), it can be used to unlock access to other sites too.

They also provided a nice video on how to choose a password.
BUT... I much prefer using the password generator/storage utility LockCrypt, it's a free and easy to use utility that can generate and store your passwords. Using one of these types of utilities you can have it generate really hard to crack passwords, but you only need to remember the one master password for LockCrypt. Lots easier and lots safer... I have some 230 very strong passwords, almost all of them are unique from the others, but that's not an issue because only my master password needs to be remembered.
We should all have a different hard to crack password for each website or account that we have online and it's easy to do that with one of these simple to use and free utilities.
