One woodworking forums that I belong to puts on 'hands on' demo's for Scouts and various other groups for kids and this past Saturday, 3rd we got together with one of the local Girl Scout troops and had a great time giving them some of this hands on training. They made light sabers, bird houses, mason bee houses and other small items to take home with them.
My part in the event was turning Light Sabers and it was fun for the kids and for me as well. To make the Light Sabers we turned wooden handles and the inserted mini flashlights on one end and an 18 inch piece of PVC pipe in the other end.
