Title: Cars & CO2
Post by: Ken on August 02, 2022, 09:52:26 PM
The Contradictions of Battery Operated Vehicles | Graham Conway | TEDxSanAntonio
... this guy, Dr. Graham Conway, gives one of the more sensible and enlightened descriptions of our way forward with electrical cars and trucks. To me his talk here sounds like exactly what we should be doing and his graphs and charts seem to be dead on the spot. There are others in the scientific community who do not agree with him, of course, but to me, as one who has no training in any of the subject matter at hand, except as an auto mechanic in my younger days, his comments on the way forward make perfect sense. Below the video are some comments found on the video's page.

I would absolutely buy an electric car. I like the torque and acceleration possibilities :)

Not sure you can even buy anything right now? I haven't seen many new gas or ANY electric cars for sale here......Not that I could afford new gas OR electric  :o

I hear ya, Mike! LOL The thing that bothers me the most about the newer cars now is the "ultra" bright lights when they are driving behind you. I always have to flick the rear view mirror to dark mode. LOL

Don't get me wrong, the cars look nice. :)
