Forgiveness does not require excusing...
Often the struggle to forgive is the misconception that the behavior must be excused. Excusing is not a prerequisite to forgiveness. You can forgive, meaning let go of anger, vengeance, and other negative emotions, without excusing or pardoning hurtful actions.
