The 18-year-old suspected of opening fire at a Buffalo supermarket Saturday told authorities he was targeting the Black community, according to an official familiar with the investigation.  I hope he gets the death penalty but probably won't cause it will be charged as a federal hate crime.

Yes, and this is so sad that we have let this get so out of control. The hate and just general discord has been there all along, but for four horrid years tRump sat on his fat ass in the White House preaching this hate speech and Rupert Murdoch and his hired white nationalist bigots have stirred this nation into a frenzy of "us vs. them" tribalism that is so bad now that we can't seem to even talk to each other, much less find any solutions to our problems.

I'm disgusted by all these mass shootings. A lot of talk about thoughts and prayers but no action to really do anything. How many more need to die needlessly?

A ban on assault weapons, large capacity clips and body armor seems a good place to start. You don't need those to go hunting or "protect" yourself.

Evidently we need to do something about social media too.

Agree with Ken. 4 years of Trump didn't help matters. We only went backwards in terms of hate and violence.

And if he gets back in office it will be a lot worse! Musk isn't help matters with social media wanting to reinstate Trump. I'm seriously considering deleting my account.
