Since I've been recently selected to help to voice acting for a Skyrim mod I thought I'd get a good mic. So, I got this one:

I'm supposed to be able to download a free copy of AudioDesk Audio Software but something didn't go right with the registration and I've contacted support. However, I did find another link on their site and am downloading it now.

Since I was having problems with the downloads I went with the old standby which has been around for MANY years, is free, and I already have installed...Audacity.

The mic works great so far!
Edit: AudioDesk would not install the drivers successfully so I uninstalled it.

Here's two recordings I've made. They are mp3 files and there are no mods installed here that will play them. So, you'll have to download them then play them. The first attachment is only me with no presets, etc.
The 2nd is something completely different. :rofl2
Edit: If you can't hear those or don't have a program to hear them, use this link and it should work better. I have the audio/video embedder on my site and it works in your browser.

Ummm... why won't these play here? We gots the ... actually, we dropped the audio/video player and only have the Ohara YouTube Embed now.

Steve, have you tried Reaper? https://www.reaper.fm/

I remember hearing about this. May have been at your GG forum but can't remember ever trying it.
The mic is also heavy enough to beat someone senseless. LOL

The mic looks great, I need to get one at some point to use with my interface, I'll probably go for a Shure.
The trial version of Reaper is full featured without any restrictions, so it will work as if you've purchased it. Also after the trial period it will continue working without restriction, but will give you a nag screen on startup, to remind you to purchase a licence. It's pretty good, and is cheap for what it is.

Ok, I'll try it out and see how it goes.

Let us know how it works out, and there's a few tuts on YT if you get stuck. A quick basic one here, https://guitaristguild.com/index.php?media/item/reaper-is-easy.43/

I was just sitting here watching an intro video from the list that Kenny has on his site, kennymania.com:

Excellently presented videos and very easy to follow!

They are indeed. I'm sure you'll have some fun using a real DAW, especially when you get into using effects and VST plugins. Oh, and get that guitar in there too mate.

LOL, I haven't played in ages and don't even have one anymore.
I was just looking into VST plugins and how to install them earlier while checking out Audacity. I just downloaded Reaper and will check it out after I eat and take a short nap. Cya later...
