When I spoke with her this morning she was very happy that her artwork is being considered for the badge background image and has high hopes that lots of people will see the badge once it's finished.
This topic is being started so that she can keep track of any progress. :happy:

the final decision will be made @ Base Camp but if no one else has any objections...I see no reason not to post the candidates for the badge here ....if I'm out of line I'll apologize up front

I'm having trouble viewing the full image of the original in the gallery - in FF, I get nothing when I click on it. In IE, I get a blank box with a red x. Since we keep the size smaller for badges anyhow I just used the thumbnail version, though thought I'd mention.

hmmmmm does that fit the vertical (63 pixles) that the other badges are ....Honestly Mouse I really like that one; you just set the bar!!!

@Mousie, here's the full sized image from the gallery & the direct link, the real life original image is much bigger of course.
...we have a display issue in the gallery with some of the full sized images that I hope to be able to repair when we do the upcoming software upgrade.

Thanks Bigfoot - had another thought for this(which was where the full size image came in), cropping it so that there's more focus on the tree, but I like the original with the stream a bit better.

It also creates a space for the text we need without destroying the integrity of the picture itself. riteon

I'd just like to say for the record that as plans were unfolding for this trek the forum skin was actually not what is there now and I was trying to come up with an idea for a possible badge.
To me because of our crunching history and the inspiration Ken has been for a long time to me he has always been BigFoot and this place where he calls home.
As such and because I enlisted some help before the current concept was proposed I'm still going to put up what I consider another fitting embodiment of Our Family Forum for a badge option.
I do quite like the Mallie one so must admit to being somewhat torn now.
Oh well it never hurts to have variety. :wink2:

Because of me being the host I'm not going to pick side, or a favorite, don't seem like that would be fair... but I will say that all of the choices so far are really nice and I can't wait to see which one the BC Team picks. :bigteeth:

Infranview is good ...I've got a copy of Paint Shop Pro that I haven't even installed yet...let alone worked with!!! The Manuals weigh 5 pounds!!!!!

Well I fooled around with that one for a bit but I'm way outclassed and out of my league here so I think I'll just let the pro's have at it.
I might just get myself Adobe though and play with it this winter. There's just so much to learn.

I tried Gimp, just couldn't get on with it, I like "Adobe Photoshop" plus all the add-ons you can get for it!

i like photoshop too, but i don't want to spend hundreds. there is an add-on to gimp called gimpshop that makes gimp look like photoshop for those that prefer it's interface. :)

Mousy, thank you for designing the badge no,8 with my drawing. When I voted for no.8 I didn't know a girl had designed it. It just looked more like I would have liked the badge to look. I love everything about the Cancer Research Team and I love all of you for honoring me. You are all doing a wonderful work, and who could appreciate it more than me, a cancer surviver twice. Mallie
