It may be released as early as today...if we all agree on it. ;)

I like it. Dark themes are not my first choice, but I like the crisp, clean lines.

Pinky has mentioned Trek badges over on BC:

One other idea to toss out for badge...was lurking about and found "Mallie's Art" in the gallery...if she doesn't mind us doing so, we can make a badge based on something from there. link   The "colored tree and creek" one would make a good base.

Mallie is OK with that idea, in fact she loves it.
When I spoke with her this morning she was very happy that her artwork is being considered for the badge background image and has high hopes that lots of people will see the badge once it's finished.
This topic is being started so that she can keep track of any progress.

the final decision will be made @ Base Camp but if no one else has any objections...I see no reason not to post the candidates for the badge here ....if I'm out of line I'll apologize up front

Played a little with the image I had in mind

I'm having trouble viewing the full image of the original in the gallery - in FF, I get nothing when I click on it.  In IE, I get a blank box with a red x.  Since we keep the size smaller for badges anyhow I just used the thumbnail version, though thought I'd mention.
