The Insanity Continues!

While doing some research on my co-pay grant I had occasion to look up what the current cost is on my chemo drug. The GoodRX site has Votrient listed at $23,407.09 for retail... and, that's per month! 

I have no complaints about my use of Votrient, after all it has been keeping me alive for several years now, but it just seems crazy to be so pricey.
BTW... the co-pay grant covers the $1300 per month that it would cost me if I had to pay.

If the drugs have kept you alive then its worth the price even though its ridiculous.

Not sure what the answer to high prices would be?

Have some ideas but I doubt they would ever be implemented.

Yes, some drug prices are truly outrageous, but the companies pump so much money into our political systems that we may never see any meaningful price reforms.

Just had reason to check on prices for Votrient again and it's still crazy!
The range is CVS Pharmacy @$17,324 too Sams Club @$23,479.

I actually just switched my meds from CVS to Express Scripts cause they were cheaper and no shipping fee!
