Hoppin' John with Turnips and Turnip Greens

I remember hearing my grandfather talking about Hoppin' Johns ever since I was a little boy. LOL

I'd probably sub carrots for the turnips and would defo leave out the hot stuff. The hot stuff hurts too much!  :P
