Title: Cardiac Ablation
Post by: Ken on March 15, 2021, 02:43:38 PM
Kay just came out of surgery for her cardiac ablation and is doing good, but they will keep her overnight because she has been on blood thinners and the Dr's don't want to take any chances.

Mindi (https://www.ourfamilyforum.org/FamilyForum/index.php?action=profile;u=21) is with her and has been keeping me updated because I would not have been able to sit there all day.

Mindi just now sent me this update:

"They just called to update. They've got everything in place and she's doing good 👍🏽. They'll update us in another 1.5 - 2 hours."

... yes, I know that the dancing bannas are silly, but just now my mood is 'silly with relief'!

I thanked Mindi for staying with her and she sent me this text:
"Of course! She is now in room 5111. They're getting her through the admission process and then I will order her a sandwich and something for dinner. She's doing good. Watching Animal Planet, and feeling less groggy. I will drop her pocketbook off to you on my way home."

And this:
"She wanted me to remind you to feed the dogs and cat at 4:00 pm."
And my reply:
Tell her this... "Yes Dear!" hahahahah! 😱

Just fed the dogs and cat, so I'm safe on the score.  laughing7
I called Kay and she's still a little groggy, but feeling OK. I'll call her again at about 8PM to check on her then.

Picked Kay and got her settled in at home now.
She is doing good, but must be on bed rest for the next week.
