Title: "Create Your Own" Soup Articles
Post by: Skhilled on June 04, 2021, 10:10:09 AM
I remember reading these in the original magazine editions. These are GREAT ways to make soups by mixing and matching your own ingredients. Note the "Related" block to the right near the top for a few of their recipes for each.

Kay and I love soup meals and we've had variations of many of the soups mentioned in these articles. In the article about 'Chunky Vegetable Soup' the writer, Pamela Anderson, (love that name!) sez that "My summer vegetable soup is not just a single recipe-it’s a formula;" and that's pretty much the way Kay will approach her soup making.

She may say something to me like, "I feel like having some vegetable soup for supper, how about you?" And me is automatically saying, "That sounds good to me"  laughing7
What comes next is anyone's guess because it all comes down to whatever is in the veggie drawer... with plenty of her seasonings skills thrown in for good measure.

Yup, that's how i usually go about it unless I have a specific taste for something. I'm partial to the creamy soups like tomato or celery or a creamy potato or corn chowder.
