Old Farts & Flashbacks!

Old Farts & Flashbacks!
When you're young your focus is mostly on whats to come next or what your future will look like, but when you get to be an Old Fart like me you often get caught up in memories of what it was like back in the day, back in your day.
And... the people that you knew along the way.

For me there were two people who were my BFF's in my late teens and my 20s, one was George and the other Joaquin. (... this was from the late 50s and on into the late 70s)
By the late seventies George and I had begun to drift apart because of distance mostly, he lived in Compton and I lived in San Diego. For Joaquin it happened even earlier because in his case it had to do with Family. Joaquin was married to my then wife's sister and after a time they got a divorce which caused other relationships to suffer of course.

So, flashbacks...
Some years ago George and I reconnected (link below) and it was like we were never separated by the years, we were still(and are) BFF and I love the fact that we were able to reconnect.
So now my son, Curtis, has facilitated a re-connection for Joaquin and me! The interaction with Joaquin has been wonderful for me and I am so thankful to Curtis for his efforts in bringing us back together.
