Ancestry is my new thing.
« on: March 16, 2011, 07:53:38 PM »
I have been researching my family history and even though I have only been on my Grandfather Loop's side of the family,I have found a ton of relatives and became very depressed at one point.Of course all the ancestors are no longer with us,but to find out that my Great,Great Grandfather was a prisoner in the war between the North and the South and that he died shortly after being released, made me very sad.He fought against slavery.I can also say that families were very large back then...Many children....I will push onward and see what else I find.I wish I had known all of them.......

You're doing a great job Kay!  :2thumbs:

You are putting a lot of time and effort into tracking down information on your family history and it's starting to pay off with lots of details about where family members came from and some of the events in their lives. I'm looking forward to seeing the family tree as you develop it.

Great job, Kay. It can be tedious at times but is really rewarding when you find some. :)

My cousin has been tracing the Irish side of our family lately to over in Ireland to see what he can come up with.
