PmxBlog development stopped
« on: June 12, 2011, 08:35:06 PM »
Feline has posted on her site that she has stopped developmental and support of the PmxBlog Mod that we use here on the FamilyForum.

She has offered to turn over development to anyone who is willing, so hopefully we can find someone.  fteller

This is a copy of her post and my reply:
We have dropped the development and the support for the Blog modification PmxBlog.
If anyone have interest to continue the work on this Mod, they can do that under the BSD license.
Please ask us for the complete Source codes.

Thanks for posting this notice Feline.
I'm giving this information to some of the coders that we know to see if someone will take up the Mod. It has always been my opinion that your blog Mod is the best blog format for anyone running SMF because of the way it ties into memberbase and lets each member have their own blog.
I'll let you know if there's any progress.

Thanks... Ken.

We'll probably be waiting as long as we have for the recipe mod. LOL

Maybe... I've posted for the TP coders to see so hopefully someone there will be interested and respond.

Ken, interesting.  It seems to work OK here with RC5.  Probably wouldn't be too difficult to make it work with 2.0 Gold.

Jim you are most likely right on the updating to work with 2.0 Gold... it is currently updated through RC3 and was installed here by using the emulating feature and that should/may work with Gold as well.

There is another aspect to this whole debate though.
Feline had to withdraw the Mod from SMF because she would not edit her code to meet the mod requirements for SMF, so that would need to be corrected if the mod was to be available on the SMF Mod's downloads page.

I wonder if that's why Bloc also left SMF as well as others...
