Title: Theme Coding
Post by: Skhilled on January 02, 2017, 10:01:29 AM
I've been trying to help Aura with help Xmas theme she was trying to make. It looks good except that the curves are not curves...as you can see on my test site:

So, I've been playing around with it and Boris told me the image was not made correctly while Maxx told me it had coding issues. I tried editing the code but it didn't work. So, I edited one of the images and created a brand new theme from scratch. This way the coding should be fresh and up to date. It worked!

I made the curves part transparent using http://getpaint.net I've been using it for years and it is a very good (and free!) program! You can download the direct link here: http://www.dotpdn.com/files/paint.net.4.0.13.install.zip

It started as a replacement for the Windows Paint program then evolved into a sort or Photoshop like clone. It even looks similar to Photoshop. The plain version is good but you'll need to install some plugins to do more like transparencies. You can get the installer here:

You can get many more plugins for it here:

I can offer no real insight on themes, other than my next move would be to draw on the expertise of the major theme-rs in our circle of friends.

The Paint.NET has been on my PC for some time now, and although I've not really used it very much so far it is nice to have available.

Not asking for help...yet. LOL Just showing what I've been up to. I've always planned to make a theme and this will help me learn and get started. ;)

Looking good so far.

I installed the plug-in pack to mine... just need to educate myself now.  laughing7
