A lot of people are unaware of this as it's kinda hidden and tucked away.  But this tool is great and does the job just fine.

Been using 'MWSnap 3' and it's good and has lots more features of course, but for simple screen shots this Snipping Tool is easier to use and all of it's options are readily available when you open it. I think this is going to be my new default app for ss.

According to This Article there is no snipping tool in Vista Basic and it can't be added, so you would need some other utility for screen shots.

I didn't want to shell out the extra for premium. I already had most of those features in other programs.
